So i always go to this one restaurant for dinner, often once a week. The food is good, the waiters know us, we get treated really well and we get a discount. There was always one waiter who seemed the most flirty and especially when it was just Jenny and me...to the point where we started counting how many times he made eye contact with each of us...and I won...by a lot...he asked for my number two days ago and said he would call that night to see if i was going out. I wasn't but suggested the next night. So yesterday i went out with all of my friends to the popular bar (that i actually hate because it's just a bunch of study abroad student playing beer pong and if that was what i wanted i wouldn't have left the States). Jenny and I went to a different popular (with actual italians) and he called while we were there. He met us at Cafe Noir and then we went back to the bar with all of my friends. He bought drinks for jenny and me and then i sat with him (Elton) just chatting...later we went back to Cafe Noir so he, and his friends who stopped by could get toast (white bread, cheese, ham, toasted...with the crusts cut off). And that was pretty much it...but it was a fun night...
As I was walking back to the house (by myself, it was a different direction from where Elton had to go and would have made his walk twice as long and it was already decently long) I had to pass the one nightclub in Venice, there were some people standing around outside and even though it was one of the wider calle one of the girls managed to bump into me...hard...knocking me to the ground where I had to be picked up by her friend so that I could limp back home...And i have the bruised, scraped knee to prove it!
Anyway, now i'm just killing time while the guy I'm traveling with finish packing...for some reason these boys are taking longer than me! The trip should be fantastic, right now i'm a little stressed, i just want to make sure I have everything but I'm sure once i get on the train to Florence i'll be fine and relax a bit!
I'll be out of internet contact for a week but my italian cellphone is good

This is sort of off-topic. It really doesn't pertain to the date, but tonight you called home, Allie. It seems sitting in a cafe in Palermo sipping vino while we are home packing for our trip to Italy inspired a little homesickness. So homesick were you, Allie, that it almost sounded like your words had a subtle slur to them. You were so cute. I especially liked the "MOMMY!!!!" I could clear across the room when I handed her the phone. Anyway, it sounded idyllic. You sitting in a cafe or open air bar having some wine with a couple of friends and getting a little philosohical about home and our upcoming visit. You are building incredible memories that will last a lifetime. You are not wasting a moment. Mom and I couldn't be more proud and happy.
