So we had all of our classes yesterday. It went ok, i'm not loving my buisness classes mostly because we have to teach ourselves. I'm excited about the Art History course and we are going on at least one visit each week which is such an amazing opportunity to actually see the art we're learning about. And Italian...well, it could be an issue. Our professor will not speak English at all, which is just a little frightening. But every thursday we're going to meet for breakfast as our class and spend the hour talking in Italian and I truly think that is the best way to learn a language.
Actually I think i'm learning some Italian, unfortunately I only get over my fear of speaking in a foreign language after a glass of vino or two. Last night was fun because we went to a local bar and just talked to Italians. They were so nice and so patient with us, especially me and would correct my Italian and tell me the right words to use and such. Mostly it was just nice to meet some people.
Fortunately the Italian class was cancelled for today so I could sleep in a little and take my time getting ready. We only have Art History and then I think we're going to meet up with the people from last night. Tomorrow we may go and visit some winerys (spelling?) in Verona and then next weekend we're debating Prague and going glacier skiing (which isn't as cool as it sounds, it's very flat, but the views are supposed to be worth it.)
Dear Family: Love you, miss you, we have to figure out when/how we're going to communicate.
