Today was just too beautiful for words. I usually try to upload a picture or two but I could not possibly choose (and i have to do them one at a time so it's kind of tedious). But i'm going to give a link to a photo album at the bottom of this post.
Jess and I went out to Cimitero, the island where all venetians are buried. Then we went to Murano, although we were there yesterday as well. Today however we were able to see a glass blowing demonstration which was fun. After that we went to Burano. Burano is a less well known island, it specializes in lace, fisherman and brightly colored houses (see the pictures to know what I mean).
All in all a fantastic day.

Hi, Allie. I haven't been able to get online until today. As the song says, "I've been one poor correspondent.." However, seeing all your entries en masse has been a treat. The pictures are beautiful and you look great, very happy. I can't help remembering the little girl from eighth grade who said, "Someday I am going to come here for college." Well, you did it, and you deserve it. You went through two rigorous selection processes, one to get into Wake and another to get into the Venice program. I don't think I have to remind you to enjoy yourself because I think you have an appreciation for how lucky you are. I'm very proud of you and happy for you. Can't wait to come out to see you. Love you. Hopefully we'll talk soon. Daddy
